5-Week ASD Digital Media Academy New Media & Technology Teams Cultural Exchange Programİ Program @ a Glance

Partnership Aim is to create a revenue stream to fund a partnership that will bring together the Anti-Self Destruction Digital Media Academy, New Media & Technology Teams Cultural Exchange programİ, and the Global Alliance for ICT & Development Youth Summit. The partnership would create an additional avenue of participation for media savvy American youth and youth of the country hosting the GAID Youth Summit. This academy produces an end product that uses cell phones to increase global youth exposure to the work of GAID, and to reinforce the principal of youth first as the true face of GAID, in all academy productions.

Partnership Goal is to collaborate with Beverly Hills Branch of the NAACP to develop the necessary strategic alliances, international community partnerships and funding resources to produce an ASD Digital Media Academy, using the ASD NM&T Teams cultural exchange program concepts and curriculum of self-esteem building and personal development through television & film production to participate in and promote the GAID Youth Summit.

The Partnership Program selects 20-American young people from the ASD Digital Media Academy's graduating classes, as part of the ASD New Media & Technology Teams Cultural Exchange programİ. The USA based youth will meet and live with 20 of their international youth media counterparts, in a 5-week youth-mentoring-youth media cultural exchange production program.

The partnership would have international school officials select 20-young people from middle school, high school and university level media programs, representing the multi-cultural landscape of the host country, to attend the GAID Youth Summit as members of the ASD NM&T Teams production team. The USA based teams and training staff will arrive in the host country 3-weeks prior to the event to begin training the 20-selected youth media participates as camera operators, production assistants, producers, writers and on-air personalities.

Measurable Outcomes
The NM&T Teams' job will be to produce an academy end product in the form of the Electronic News Magazineİ, ASD/The Americas Youth Forumİ and AYF/Think Tankİ. The end products combine pre & post-production personality interviews, footage of the GAID Youth Summit and its associated events to produce a polished mobile television, streaming or Internet pod-cast.

Upon conclusion of the event, the team will stay an additional 7-days for a total of 35 days to complete promotional clips, electronic press kits, and produce a participants graduation and certificate ceremony.

Sustainable Development
As of the middle of 2007, ASD has had several very successful meetings with potential sponsors. The discussions covered pathways to a possible broadcast of a block of long and short-form mobile and Internet productions of a similar event of this nature. With an initial investment, the production format can easily be adjusted to include an ASD/NAACP partnership. In addition to signage, screen, banner, mic-flag, grants, headliner sponsorship packages, and 501 3(c) type solicited donations, the planed ad revenue can also be used to sustain the ASD/NAACP New Media & Technology Team Cultural Exchange Programİ academy.
