APPLYING TO ASD Digital Media Academy

The ASD digital Media Academy is open to youth 18-24 of all nationalities within the United State of America who can demonstrate an avid interest in an area of communications as a career choice.

REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates for the Academy must be currently registered in a California secondary or post-secondary educational institution.

Must be nominated by a United States Congress person, State Assembly, the Mayors office, City Councilperson or a member of the board of education or school principal.

Participants must be eligible for non-restricted travel outside the USA for minimum of 16-day periods, and possess a valid passport with more than 6-months available before expiration on the date of departure. Exceptions to the deadlines are made as merited.

Applicants must submit a completed package to include a ASD/ICS Academy application, all proof of eligibility such as resume, current report card or sealed school transcript and a statement of interest by the stated deadline.

In all cases, prospective students are required to take the entrance exam, and must achieve a passing score of 70% to be considered for admission.

Day Schedule: 8:00 AM -5:00 PM 8-Hour Monday through Friday

Evening Schedule: 6:00 PM -10:00 PM 4-Hour Monday through Friday

Weekend Schedule: 8:00 AM -8:00 PM 12 Hour Saturday includes lab time

A committee of four (Admission Rep, Instructor, Placement Director, and the School Director) makes the final decision for acceptance. The applicant must have submitted the application Pkt. before the stated deadline and should bring a copy of their resume to the interview.
